Students attending day courses are advised to bring their own lunch
By car from the M25 - a journey of approximately 15 minutes.
Click here for local (printable) map - Leave the M25 at Junction 29 and take the A127 towards London.
- Take the first slip road off (almost immediately, just past Cranham Caravans) into FRONT LANE.
- Continue to the mini roundabout at the end of Front Lane, and turn LEFT into ST MARY'S LANE.
- Continue past the shops on the left, and then turn RIGHT (just past the Thatchers public house) into PIKE LANE.
- Continue to the end of Pike Lane, and turn LEFT into OCKENDON ROAD.
- Take the next RIGHT (almost immediately, just past Manor Farm) into PEA LANE.
- Continue almost to the end of Pea Lane - the entrance to The Sanctuary is on the right hand side just yards from the junction with Dennises Lane.
- As you drive through the gateway, The Sanctuary is the building on the right. If the car park inside the main entrance is full, there is an overflow car park at the end of the garden by the pond (the entrance to this is a little way back down Pea Lane).
By public transport to Upminster:
From Upminster town to the Sanctuary is a journey of around 10 minutes by taxi at a cost of around £7-£8.
Train Services to/from Upminster Station: - Fenchurch Street line (less than 30 minutes to the City).
