My own interest in complimentary therapies began in my late twenties when, like many working parents, I found that juggling family life and work was sometimes stressful and exhausting. Looking for a natural solution to restore balance and energy to my life, a friend suggested I try Reiki for general relaxation and well being.  From my first treatment I was completely hooked on all things “alternative” and wanted to be able to help others, and after training in Reiki in 2001, that is where my journey began!

I have since trained in Swedish and Aromatherapy Massage and in 2012 undertook a year’s training with The Healing Foundation, which is regulated by the World Federation of Healers.

More recently, after experiencing Bowen Therapy (also known as The Bowen Technique) for my own neck, shoulder and back pain and experiencing this wonderfully effective and gentle therapy, after nine months of intensive study, in November 2013, I qualified as a Bowen Therapist with The European College of Bowen Studies.  I have seen such wonderful results with Bowen Therapy and now work with this therapy almost all of the time.

I am a full member of The Bowen Therapy Professional Association (BTPA) whose members are qualified in Anatomy & Physiology and First Aid and are committed to a programme of continuing professional development.
